Wayne Maslin  -  Artist Process

Nature and art never seem to leave me where they found me. Each encounter with their mysteries guides me to new creative territory and I come away with feelings of surprised awakening and magical accomplishment.

As I discover an oddly shaped rock or a graceful piece of driftwood a communion of energy begins. My art is a sensual response to nature observed and objects found.

As I manipulate a found object (eroded snail shell) my haNDS and eyes activate hidden alchemic energies and an idea begins to take form - and the creative path reveals itself.
